My 60-minute lessons often run 65–75 minutes when useful, at no extra cost. Ask me about longer sessions or small-group lessons.
Payment
I accept Zelle, PayPal, and Venmo, with payment before, during, or after each lesson.
Rescheduling & cancellations
I charge 25% for cancellations within 24 hours, with an exemption for family and medical emergencies.
Missed lessons
I charge 50% for missed lessons without notice. Please let me know as soon as you need to reschedule.
Will you teach every lesson yourself?
Yes. I teach every lesson and handle the preparation, homework, and follow-up myself. You can email or message me directly throughout our work together.
What do we need for online lessons?
I use Google Meet, screen sharing, online whiteboards, and shared documents. Your student will need a computer, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet place to work. I’ll explain the setup before our first lesson.
How much homework do you assign?
For SAT and ACT preparation, I generally recommend about two hours of practice per tutoring hour. I choose assignments from the topics we’re working on and adjust the workload around the student’s progress and schedule. I also assign homework for math, writing, and chess.
How many SAT or ACT lessons do you recommend?
I recommend 12–18 tutoring hours for many students. Before recommending a schedule, I look at the starting score, target score, test date, and time available for homework.
Do you teach students outside the US?
Yes. I’ve taught students in 16 countries and 13 US states. All my lessons are online. Send me your time zone, or use my consultation calendar to choose a time.

I’ll ask about your student’s grade, current work or test scores, goals, and schedule. You can ask me about my teaching, homework, rates, or anything else you want to know before starting.
